The 18th lock in Dalsland channel leads from Kvarnhöljen to Bengtsbrohöljen.
After Billingsfors follows Kvarnhöljen and then the 18th lock. After passing the smaller pond, Kvarnhöljen, you control the eastern side of the current. The site is probably best known as the most photographed along the canal due to a wonderful little red cottage with very picturesque garden located next to the lock! If you are lucky, you can see beaver in the Dammhöljen, as the dust between the 18th and 19th lock is named.
