The 18th lock in the Dalsland Canal leads from Kvarnhöljen to Bengtsbrohöljen.
After Billingsfors follows Kvarnhöljen and then the 18th lock. After passing the smaller dam, Kvarnhöljen, you head towards the east side of the stream. The place is probably best known as the most photographed along the canal because of a wonderful little red cottage with a very picturesque garden located next to the lock! If you're lucky, you might see beavers in the Dammhöljen, as the pond between the 18th and 19th locks is called.
