Vänern, western europes largest inland lake with a maximum depth of 106 meters and an average depth of 27 meter, offers fantastisk fishing oppurtunities and europes best salmon and trout water. In Vänern you are free to fish with a rod and you are treated to the chance of catching 35 different species of fish like zander, pike, perch and trout. Fishing in Vänern is mostly free within 300 meters from the mainland or an island of at least 100 meters. Exceptions of this are conservation areas, certain fishing conservation areas and bans on fishing for individual species
