Unique craft in both design and technique.
At the idyllic Gjutås farm just outside Lennartsfors, you’ll find a small craft paradise created by textile artist Gitta Bretsch and her husband Peter. Visitors are warmly welcome and are offered a guided tour of Gitta’s weaving workshop, which houses three looms. You can see how the weaving process works and get an insight into traditional textile craftsmanship. In the small farm shop, you can buy beautiful handicrafts or order unique products designed according to your own wishes.
Gitta weaves shawls, blankets, and wall hangings, sews ponchos and loop scarves, and paints tempera artworks. All her products are unique and made from carefully selected materials in a wide range of colors. Swedish nature is a major source of inspiration for her, both in design and color. Gitta and her husband also make beautiful wooden bowls, moose figures, jewelry, and much more.
Souvenirs with a Personal Touch
At Gitta’s workshop, you’ll also find a lovely selection of Swedish souvenirs—both her own creations and items from other artisans.
Courses
During the summer, Gitta holds her popular plant-dyeing courses, where participants dye yarn using plants from nature.Current information can be found HERE
