The European ash in Hösås among the northernmost in Scandinavia. Examples are lichens, mosses, fungi, insects and molluscs. The ash tree is also a culturally important tree, people use to collected branches with the leavs on, then they dryed branches with leaves on and gav as food to the domestic animals.
