Sandstangen is a popular bathing spot on the east side of Øyeren, old Trøgstad municipality, now Indre Østfold municipality.
It is a 300 meter long seaweed of moraine gravel. On site you will find a cafe and kiosk.
Area is adapted for the disabled with toilet and renovation. Here you will also find a large parking lot.
From RV22 between Båstad and Skjønhaug it is four km down to the beach.
Here you will also find a separate space for launching boats and a permanent jetty for public use.
Øyern is by the way the most fish-rich lake in Norway with 25 fish species.
