In the north-western part of the municipality, the Torrskogsleden trail can take you along old paths and roads through the wildest corners of Skogsdal, through the pillared halls of the old-growth forest and over clearings with far-reaching views. At Ramsbytjärnet, you pass beautiful meadows and pastures, cultural land with roots dating back to the Iron Age agricultural landscape.
The entire trail is 25 km and it is recommended that you take two days if you want to walk the entire route. It is possible to shorten the walk to one day and even shorter tours. This trail gives you the opportunity to stop at a croft ruin and contemplate the living conditions of your ancestors or to listen to the guillemot at a wilderness star.
