**Fossum Learning Arena
On the Askim side of the old Fossum bridge you will find Fossum Learning Arena. The learning arena gives a description of what happened here in the April days of 1940, the start of World War II in Norway. This in pictures, text, QR code and audio file in both English and Norwegian.
**The Rose Castle - Vebjørn Sand
Vebjørn Sand's repainted painting (Roseslottet) is photographed in size 3x3m and photo and description of three key Norwegian soldiers during these battles are placed here.
You can get here by bike, on foot (bike and footpath from both Askim and Spydeberg) or by car.
Fossum learning arena was opened on Liberation Day, May 8, 2025. Askim Historielag has been responsible for the implementation with good help from local and central sponsors.
